CHARACTERISTICS

Liftoff
It all began in 2016 when our founder took to the skies as a novice jet pilot, frequently cruising at altitudes up to 45,000 feet. After just a few months, she noticed her skin had darkened significantly, a clear sign of too much sun exposure.
Determined to address this, she set out to create a sunscreen that not only protects but also moisturizes, smells great, and respects the environment. A cream perfect for daily wear, whether you're on or off the flight deck. A brand that inspires the wearer to seek new experiences, meet new people and explore the world.”
JetScreen is designed to feel like a daily ritual. 100% Mineral-based and free from harmful chemicals.
Our formulation meets the highest standards of professional aviators and professional travelers alike.
Enjoy the ride.

Burning questions
about SPF
What does SPF mean?
SPF stands for Sun Protection Factor. The number associated with SPF indicates how long it will take for your skin to burn with the sunscreen compared to how long it would take to burn without.
Example: if it takes 10 minutes for your skin to burn without sunscreen, an SPF 30 will theoretically protect your skin from burning for 300 minutes (10 minutes x 30 SPF = 300 minutes).
Is SPF 50 better than SPF 30?
While a higher SPF may offer slightly more protection, it doesn't necessarily mean it's better. The difference between an SPF 30 and SPF 50 is only about 1% in terms of UVB protection. No sunscreen can provide 100% protection from the sun's harmful rays.
When should you use sunscreen?
Sunscreen should be used daily, regardless of the weather or season. UV rays from the sun can cause damage to your skin even on cloudy or cooler days. It is recommended to apply sunscreen at least 15 minutes before going outside and reapply every two hours or after swimming or sweating. Make sure to choose a sunscreen with broad-spectrum protection and an SPF of 30 or higher for the best protection.
What is Zinc Oxide?
Zinc oxide is a mineral that is commonly used to protect the skin from harmful UV rays. When applied topically, zinc oxide forms a protective barrier on the skin that reflects UV radiation away from the skin's surface. Zinc oxide is non-irritating, natural, and safe for sensitive skin.
Chemical vs Mineral UV filters?
Chemical UV filters have traditionally been the go-to for daily use under makeup since they are more lightweight and blendable. However, these chemicals have been linked to various potential health concerns, such as allergies or endocrine disorders.
Mineral UV filters are more gentle and less likely to cause skin irritation. They work immediately upon application and do not need to be absorbed by the skin, making them ideal for people with sensitive skin. We have created a formula that offers the best of mineral filters while presenting a smooth, creamy, not-sticky consistency that isn't "goop-y."
